Best Summer Shake

My sister came up with the basic idea for this one. Cheers, Kate.
This is incredibly simple, and makes the best milkshake ever. Actually I never much liked milkshakes, cuz I didn't like milk. But this is great. You can't taste the soya milk, either.
Vegetarians and omnivores of my aquaintance are equally keen on this drink.

Serving per person

1 banana
1/2 cup soya milk
dash maple syrup
1 nectarine

Roughly chop the banana and nectarine and place in the freezer for anything between half an hour and an hour. You don't actually want the fruit to freeze, just to get very cold. Next, put the fruit in a liquidizer or blender with the milk and a drop or two of maple syrup, and whizz for a few moments. I like this to be really thick and gloopy, but you can of course put more milk in to thin it down, and make it go further.

It's also very good with just banana. Oh, and I recently tried it with banana and a handful of raspberries. Very good taste, but a little on the gritty side...

New Vegan Recipes

One of my favourite combinations of flavours is a rich, smoky aubergine dish with rice and a fresh, zingy salad. Try Aubergine with Chilli & Soy with coconut rice and Green Beans with Ginger & Soy.
